Who We Are

Just One Cambodia (J1C) is an Australian-based, ACNC registered charity with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status, dedicated to transforming lives in Cambodia through meaningful employment, skills training, and small business development.

Where It All Began

J1C was founded in mid-2018 by Cameron Wright, whose connection with the Cambodian people began in 2012 when he sponsored nine children living in the slums of Phnom Penh. His first visit in March 2013 left a lasting impression — one that grew into deep friendships, repeated visits, and an unshakeable conviction that more could be done.

Reassured that his sponsor children were thriving and on a path to a better future, Cameron turned his attention to their parents and other adults living in similar poverty — people who lacked access to employment opportunities and the skills to change their circumstances.

What We Believe

We believe in the power of one. One job. One skill. One opportunity. These small acts of generosity can break cycles of poverty and restore dignity, hope, and self-worth to entire families.

Our philosophy is simple: Teach 'em how to fish.

What We Do

J1C creates and supports business enterprises in Cambodia that employ and train disadvantaged parents, equipping them with the skills to sustain their own livelihoods and, where possible, start their own businesses. We also assist individuals in securing meaningful employment with other organisations once their training is complete.

Every donation — tax deductible from just $2 — directly funds these opportunities and helps us expand our reach to more families in need.
